Hopefully they are less prone to cracking, but they are about 2/3 the price of factory coils, so theres a good start, provided they are as good or better than factory. If so they will be an economical way to replace many of the 15 year old cracked coils gettting around in both soarers and supras.

Yeah I bought newies from Toytoa a while ago, was about $700 for the set. One good thing about genuine is you can buy one on its own. Dunno if Superspark will be availble individually or as a set only.

well im not sure how good they are personally but i know alot of nissan owners run them in their rb's and ca's and sr's and i havent really heard anything bad as of yet. so maybe with anyluck with a group buy be ineresting to see how much we get off. may end up being cheaper to get than genuine ones and they said a hks dli shouldnt be needed which would save more money still. they have been doing testing on a 1000hp 2jz so not sure who's it is or how much extra spark they get.

Their awesome bright red outer case has been designed in a way that makes them almost double the thickness of factory items and they look great in the engine bay!

ok they should be coming out next tuesday and they have organised a group buy of 5 sets (i will be getting one set) at HALF PRICE!! ($250) so let me know who is a definate. the only thing is they will like feedback from these coils as they are new product. and are hoping for some higher power cars aswell to make sure can withstand the higher power they have been testing them with. so there are four sets up for grabs and i am still waiting for there bank details or maybe organise to pay on their site and i will give them a list of who is up for the other 4 sets. so please put your name down here to be a part of this.

I'm interested. Even though all spots are taken, If they extend the group buy to extra sets I'd be up for it I reckon. I'm currently installing a GT3582R with a few other nice bits... so should make reasonable power (read: as best as possible on stock ecu and injectors until they get upgraded)

Get a mods list from your 5... if they are all quite similar, you might not get much variance in testing results. Personally, I think 10 vehicles would provide a far better test field Vested interest? Mmmmaybe hahahaha

haha yeah they are doing testing with another 5 cars elsewhere aswell so the 5 is all they are giving me at half price. you can still buy them for the 499 but they just want more real time testing to make sure there is no faults cause they have been testing for 6 months now. there are a few different cars matts is fairly stock, so will be good to see any differences in his cause with modded cars there can be so much varied results, and most the others are going to try them in their cars and their mates so should get a few different readings.. i just have to get confirmation from david grab if he isnt up for it your the next one in line tim

YOu would have to do before and after dyno runs on the car in the same session . It doesnt take long to switch coils over , but direct before and after results would be whats worthwhile . Personally, i wouldnt be giving 1 of the 5 sets to someone who wants to test them " in the future " . Sounds like the company wants direct feedback to use for advertising . I have 2 year old toyota coils on my car . I would be happy to use my car for dyno session for before and after . Although im not buying them , would get some results to give them back Aaron .

| david said he will be putting in another soarer to test first till he can run in his. the guy i have been speaking to sounds like an alright bloke, he said its not really for advertising purposes but if someone gets really good results they will probably put it up, its more the fact the toyota ones are new on the market and if they get any problems they want to fix it asap cause they dont want to put anything dud on the market as you would expect if you are trying to make or keep your companies reputation. i could probably try organise a lend of mine daniel for some runs as i wont be able to boost mine much with my engine knock was hoping to have my 2j by now to try them on. on the other note the coils are ready im just waiting to hear back how they want us to pay for them.. then ill let ya's know.

Hi Guys Jamie owner of super spark here. please feel free to forward all questions to me as for the question "why are they doing this" the reason we do this is that multiple field testing is nothing but pure knowledge to us. When creating a new coil pack in a factory from scratch it takes a long time and there are many variables to get right...something that might work perfectly on an 800hp 1j down the road...might fry in minutes of being put on grandmas 2j with a power fc....we have been manufacturing coil packs from scratch day in and day out for over 3 years now and know the problems they can have. For the testers please remember as im sure aaron has stated even though we have been testing these coils for well over 6 months now...things STILL can go wrong!....if there is a problem please call or email me and we will sort it out asap...they are in TESTING period only we would prefer if you kept the info between us untill everyone of us are happy with the product...as this is our only goal. at this point in time we are not really interested in back to back dyno runs...as there are too many variables that most people wouldnt understand other then "oh one made more then the other"... about the question "whats wrong with stock coils" absolutely NOTHING is wrong with the toyota coil packs...the only time you would purchase our coils is if your current coils stop working (missfire)...or you are upgrading your car and after putting more boost into it you develop a missfire....we dont recommend spending your hard earned cash on our product if your current coils are working perfectly fine...it will make no difference .... in the case of your factory coils not working and you need a new set ours are competitively priced as to where are the products coming from? i can assure you we wouldnt be around aslong as we have been if we were buying $7 coils from overseas and slappng a box on them...they just wouldnt work....the 1jz ones alone as i said have been in the make for over 6 months....huge amount of time and money has gone into getting to the model we have now. so please be assured that you are dealing with a reputable company. i hope that answered some questions

Jamie - thanks for the quick reply, however you still didn't say what country they are being made in. I'm not having a go at you or anything, when mine played up I did a lot of research to see if there were any aftermarket ones available or whether there were any straight from Japan. I ended up buying genuine from the US. If yours prove to be reliable that would be brilliant as they are a fair bit cheaper. Jeff

If quality raw materials are used and there is strict quality controls are put in place to ensure workmanship is up to a high standard, then it doesnt really matter what country it is coming from... including China (IF that is to be the case) Any and every country has the ability to produce good products... and Australia has its fair share of dodgies as well. Jamie, welcome to SC Extend the group buy by 1 more... please? hahaha

hi guys thanks for the warm welcome Tim i appreciate it looks like a great community.PM me about the 1 more tester Hi jeff ...sorry i didnt know you wanted exact specifics...we do infact produce our coils overseas in taiwan..as producing a competitively priced ignition coil in australia...im gunna say would be next to impossible im not saying ours are reliable as of this very second...but the testing has gone well...and now we are looking to get them as good as anything on the market if not better but still for $499 with free delivery inc gst
