1) "Hey im looking to take the car in for a RWC, question is the car has aftermarket headlights, and taillights, would they cause any problems? "
As long as they are not tinted and they actually work then they will be fine.
2) "he drivers side door trim is in pretty bad shape, (falling apart), but hopefully I can fix that one or just get a spare one put on."
Trim is only a problem if it interferes with vehicle operation. If its cracked or ripped it isn't a problem. If there is hole and wire sticking out it will be
3) Should either of these things be a problem for a RWC?
Nope.
4) And would anyone have any recommendations for a RWC in Melb who knows Soarers?
Depends where you are, also the questions you've put forward leave me to suspect you may be new to cars in general as there are more common things that cause RWC to fail
Pitted windshield dirty under carage (degrease it all) Number plate light not working Frayed seat beats
I have a bloke in vermont I can set you up with, but he won't give you a free ride, if you're too low, too dark (car) he won't pass you

Thanks for the answers Jol, I'm pretty handy with a spanner its just that I needed clarification about those issues, last time I went for a VIC RWC would have been 6 years ago.
And good thing is that im repairing the door trim and the lights will be replaced, aswell as the BFI mod.
Once I complete all the repairs, from the condition I got it in to the condition it will be in once its registered I should be a happy man.
