www.google.com

Doesn't take much pal to have a look around yourself for info.

The Apexi SAFC II is a piggyback fuel computer that you can use to tune your air and fuel ratio's and many more options.

hahaha!

are you serious Isaac!?

Now that you have googled it and learnt what its all about, you can also use the SEARCH function that THIS website has and read up on some info with SAFCs and SOARERS.

*sorry man i realise you are new to the forum but you should always do your own research to start with before asking broad questions

Go easy guy's! lol You just hit him with a lump of 4*2 wood... hahaha
Like most new members.. They know nothing about either turbo charged cars or performance Mod's.. Without asking dum questions as it appear's they will never learn...
We all start of this way and get better knowleged over time after asking same questions... If we as a comunity take the time out to help these guy's then it would be a better forum and better respected.. Not having a go at anyone in general.. I know how much its a pain answering the same questions that YES can be answered if they search.. But without thinking or even having forum experience,Then how are they to know?

Before you think about buying one Isaac.. What are you thinking of doing? If you just want to lift the boost a little and adjust afr's,Then yeah it's a good product but expensive compered to a FCD (Fuel cut defender) Wich doe's the same thing for a lot less.. And buypasses the boost cut were the SAFCII doesn't.. To be honest mate! Waste of money and just a wow thing in your car! I had one and it become useless due to the boost level I had mine at.. It's really only good for mildly modded cars to fine tune the fuel mix that's all it is!

hardly a piece of 4x2.... more a subtle slap with some light balsa across the fingers hahah

As for the boostcut and FCD debate... when i installed and had my SAFC II tuned it stopped my car from hitting boost/fuel cut, even when it was spiking on nice cold nights up to 17PSI. Worked on mine so i dont see why it wouldnt do the same on another Soarer.

I wasn't too sure if the SAFCII worked like that as I had a Tom's ecu to get around the boost and fuel cut!
But to be honest... If I was to go through that again.. I'd get a Mines,Blitz or Tom's ecu and a emanage Ultimate! Then you have a tunable ecu and room too move if you were to up the boost or go single!

Really!? You would pay an inflated price for a TOMS or MINES and then also pay for an ultimate?

If i had a manual like you i would not stuff around with piggy backs on "modded ecus" and go straight for the POWER FC (or a similar stand alone) Then its done and dusted

The reason i asked is a mate of mine has one he is willing to part with for $50 bucks. but i was not sure wether they worked well with soarers and what they did exactly. The only mod at the moment i have done to my car is the exhaust which i was impressed at how much more grunt it gave car as well as better fuel economy when driving on the highway. I am purchasing Ramyn FMIC at the moment. Will the SAFCII help me with getting that bit extra out of my car.

By the way I have Broad Shoulders whack away with that lump of 4x2 I don't take offense to easily

Hahahaha I should of explained... My car was converted manual after I blew the auto box.. So before that I had no option then have a piggyback ECU..
Now that it is manual,Yeah I agree.. However Money is an issue to buy a standalone ECU.. I will be getting a haltec ECU Ell or the new one.. Down the track.. But for now I'm using the Mine's piggybacked by a powermod ECU

Yeah for $50 It's a steal... For what your going to do with your car for now yeah worth it especialy for what you will be paying for it.. Make sure though you get it tuned on the dyno to get the best out of it.. Do that after you put the fmic on and do the BFI on it to... Easy mod and good gains..

Even if it's faulty (it does happen) for $50 id say its worth the gamble.

They retailed at over $800 back in the day from memory?
