it, i thought about it for a while now i really cant get it out of my head. ive read almost everything there is to read about an analogue dash going in a soarer in place of the digital dash. as far as the late Mark Paddick was concerned, he was pretty damn sure it would work, with some fking around obviously. i really wanna attempt it so any guidance would be good. id be looking to buy a spare digital dash and a USDM analogue one. comparing the two, then having a look at sorting out the connections, etc.
from the posts i read, Mark reckoned that the only issues that would come up were: different connectors no scorll function odo reading in miles mounting lugs
he also reckoned using a sc400 ecu with the analogue dash would rid of the damned speed cut too..so yeh

Damian, i saw a thread here in which Mark said he plugged it in and the only error he got was due to the lack of EGR in the jap spec 1uz. no other errors apparently.

Ali, more to the point, TT auto behind 1UZFE, with USDM spec ecu.
I know the JDM digital speedo works with USDM spec ecu, as I ran one for a short time in my UZZ31, with no speed cut, (speed reading stopped at 180, but car speed kept on going up) until Damian warned me of the possible dangers/damage that may occur.
Damian has that ecu, he was checking if there was any chance of adapting/modifying it to suit the UZZ31.

So Damian, do you think using the TT auto, behind the UZZ31, with USDM spec ecu would work? My V8 auto seems a bit sus at the moment, so I will be looking for something in the future. Is that the way to go? I like autos, I've had LJ torana V8 4 speed and HX V8 5 speed then top-loader 4 speed over the years, and now (in my old age) I prefer an auto.
If I have to do an auto I may as well do the TT auto, thats if it will go behind the V8 (I'll have to do some research)and use the USDM ecu to give me the speed cut and rev limit increase.
From memory the only other alarm was the O2 sensor, 4 wide band compared to only 2 narrow band on the JDM V8.
