Day ferry will cost you about $408 min return for one person with car. There are quite a few day sailings still to come, but they tend to stop them after about March. Then the ticket options get more expensive. I'd recommend, if two people are travelling, for one to get a cheap flight to Launceston rather than doing the boat trip, as it's very boring and quite costly compared to the airlines. There are a few Soarers in Tasmania - I'd estimate somewhere around 30. At last count I'd spotted 16 in the Hobart area alone.
