500-600 CCA is fine, just make sure that the positive and negative terminals are on the correct sides and that the terminal types are the same or similar so your clamps fit over them without being too loose.
Measure your current battery to make sure the existing one fits, is not too tall, wide etc.
Now back on subject, what vibrating thingamabobbs , I don't get it?

i think our soarer need a about 600 CCA (cold cranking amps)
My 180 CCA starts the 1J no problems at 0 or 40 degrees.
I would certainly go larger than that, for your road car, but there is no need to go over the top. I think the one I pulled out was a 450 or something.

yeh speeding unfortunatly...The Racv roadside assist man said to me that there is something draining my battery. I had all my headlights and any other lights off, plus my lights go off automatically. I have realised that my battery does need to be changed alot quicker than my other cars... anyone know why? I dont want to keep send $150 on a battery every few months

Damn, they didn't do you with the hoon law did they? If it makes you feel any better my car has been impounded because someone else was driving it without a licence ( I didn't know) wasn't speeding, drunk or anything.
Anyway if you're handy with a multimeter, set the meter to read amps, connect it in series with the positive of the battery and disconnect the fuses one by one to see what is draining the power. Theres an article on here about dodgy alarm wiring causing battery drain.

Do you have an alarm fitted? There's a few threads on this site and others that say most alarms are fitted wrongly on soarers and thereby drain the battery. Having said i havn't had any issues.. i just got back from a 1 month holiday and both batteries are dead flat And i can't find my trickle charger

Austen is your soarer impounded atm? thats gotta suck! Ali are you referring to what happened a few months ago with that Dr with the yellow Lambo and the mini cooper dealership that had there demo car impounded. I heard some "TALK" on the news that they may make acceptions on those types of cases in the future, but didn't know that they had actually changed the law! where did you hear about this?

Yeah Dave impounded till the 11th and will cost 950bucks to get it back! Unless the law has changed since a couple weeks ago, they make exceptions due to "extreme hardship". I've applied and been declined.
To top it off, I did a little test. Called the cop shop to enquire about a licence check on my mate, got forwarded to the DPI who then told me that kind of information cannot be released to me.

Yeah I know $950 is costly cause my mates little bro got their car impounded a while back, thats why some people with p.o.s. old bomb cars just leave it at the impound cause its not worth the value of the car. Then the cops have to get rid of them through auctions or whatever.

That sucks hey. I'm just afraid of getting a yellow sticker while it's impounded. Cops didn't seem to have any interest in my car while it was pulled over. Quickly stashed the SAFC and boost controller though just in case haha
