Looks awesome, red, manual, late model, turbo.
Seems like a load of money for a 12 year old car to me, but I think its pretty normal by Aussie standards? Particularly considering the desirability factor of the factory manual? KM's are probably BS?

That looks immaculate, if you can get the seller to bring it out to Liverpool I can have a look for you, if not just get an NRMA inspection done on the car they are not the best but will give you a good idea of its condition and whats needed.

HI rob, Cheers for the offer... thats about 35km away so I may well take you up on that offer or even suggest something else if you feel like going for a drive and earning a carton of beer of your choice
I just want to get an idea from a soarer person's point of view about the car before i get too excited. If i get good feedback then it would be off to a mechanic for a quick check up (compression etc) then some serious talk with the seller.
I dont really like those 18s so would certainly be a negotiation point.

Normally not a problem but I have been flat out lately and don't want to make any other commitments at the moment but if the guy wants to sell his car as it seams he does then he shouldn't have any problems bringing it to my work in liverpool.

Yeah I would try and convince a relative or something to at least scope it out to get the feel of the salesmen, you can make judgements about the sale itself without understanding a thing about cars.

No, its a good thing that the bidding ended with no bids, more bargaining power. Just send him a message through ebay if you don't have his details any longer.
James, If that car is 80% as good as it looks it will be a great buy at 11-12K, you may even get it for less as he is in a hurry to sell.

Good timing - I fired him an offer yesterday. He is considering it.
Guys I would just like to make a note on this forum that Jose was helpful and generous in checking out this Soarer on my behalf down in Cronulla. He did a thorough inspection of the vehicle and even typed up a great report which included his personal opinion which I found very re-assuring.
I am glad that there are people like this in our Soarer community as it makes for such a better group of people as opposed to some 'other' forums which seem to be overrun by 15YO punk ass kiss who do not even drive.
Jose thank you again for your time and efforts checking this car out for me, you are a legend and certainly owe you a beer or 20 if and when I head down that way.
