Does anyone have the soarer bible on their computer that they would be able to send to me over MSN or something? There aren't any active torrents online. Cheers

Hmmmm... Well I'd never seen all the arguing about this.
I just bought the disks from Jeff and never have or will regret what I spent.
All my disks turned up, worked and have been worth the money in just the time saved having to research the information or even trying to find a torrent and wait for it to download etc!
I am all for supporting anyone who puts their own time into progressing and distributing the knowledge relating to our pride and joys! Do those who organise group buys etc, do it off their own back? Mostly not and why should they! If a service is provided, it should be recognised.

I understand why we are paying for it. I would pay for it when the time comes for me to need it but the fact of the matter it who ever translated it if charging for it is infringing copy write laws.
If i heard a song in Sweden i loved and came back to AUS only to take the backing track, translate the words and distribute it for profit i would be hit with whopping great copy write fines.
So it comes down to general decency. If people want these forums to live on and continue to provide useful information its a small price to pay i'd say for the information you are gaining. Although 100$ does seem steep if it is the bible i have seen my friend use (completely everything about each different model) it is a fair price...if you think about buying a car manual from repco is 40 bucks or so....So don't cheap out it is well worth the money it could save you in the long run.

And if they didn't infringe on the copy right laws (like anyone here can say they never have) we wouldn't have this useful tool. I purchased a copy the other day and I'm sure I'm going to be happy with what I get. Remember, Toyota has little interest in keeping soarers on the road. From what I've read they are even trying to shut down toyodiy to make it harder to source part numbers etc.
