It's the best sound IMO. Theres a reason BMW, Mercedes and Audi don't use balancers.

Interestingly, if you have dual rear mufflers which have twin outlets on both mufflers that will help to reduce the low rpm puffing sound considerably.

Mike how does the dual outlet mufflers reduce the puffing sound, I have heard this comment before but just wondering what is the theory behind it.

yes i know Peter, but i have seen a few cars in the US with no offset exit, ie the tip is coming out the middle. i just wondered how they make those fit? ive also seen some with neither side having an offset.

Well I can't explain it in technical terms, but from my experience the extra outlet allows the muffler to 'breath' with each pulse. On my dual outlet paired mufflers fitted with vacuum valves when you closed them, the puffing came back straight away, when you opened them it went away leaving a deeper note at idle.....

This is about all I could find. I can't go out and start my car up at the moment.

There isn't that much of the exhaust, but it might give you an idea.

Cheers.

thanks for the video Nathan. there is a little bit of puffing even with stock system on, but not as much as with an aftermarket system. i reckon it sounds awesome.
