Hey folks, I was given an air horn today from a mate parting his car out.
Are they legal to have in Victoria? I'm going to keep my original horn just in case. I don't want them both to function when I press the horn button, so I'm thinking about running new wires for the air horn and having a switch somewhere else in the cabin. Not quite sure where to mount it - would inside the bumper be a decent spot? There are three horns, so it needs a decent amount of space.

Haha thanks for the input guys. Even though there are three horns it isn't musical.
I will fit it, but run separate wires rather than disconnect the standard horn. I won't fit it straight away though, I'll do it when I've got a little spare time!
Narvey, too funny mate! People will $hit bricks when they hear the train horn.

I used to have a propper truck horn (seperate air tank) in my mini! used to give everyone a fright as they never expected it. Used to say "its like it owner, only little but its got a big horn" Never worked with the chicks though.
My soarer has a toyota premium horn kit installed. Just look up vic roads and I'm sure the will have reference to air horns somewhere.
