Hi Guys,

Son has to do a report on any car .. little legend chose to do it on a soarers.

I know most of the specs off the top of me head for the J's and U's anyway .. i'll throw this out there.

Anyone wanna hazzard a guess at the number of Soarers currently onroad in Australia and then Victoria?

I'm guessing around 15,000 au and 3000 Victoria.

I would think the only way youre going to get a figure thats even close is by contacting DOTARS to see how many have been complied

that wouldn't help much though, considering soarer wrecks are being parted out on a daily basis

Indeed. I don't care about holw many have been imported nor do I care about the number made (the exact number is on wikipedia)

I am only concerned about the number on road in australia.

I am looking for estimates here people ..

heaps???

they were one of australias most popular imports between 2000 and 2007.. so that should give you a fair indication.. after 2007 they are mostly strictly a collector thing thereafter..

here are some pics i think your son should use :-)

You just about can't move in my home town for the number of Sylvia's on the road. Every other backwards cap wearing pizza faced kid is driving one with a 15" canon hanging off the back, usually the non-turbo models that have been so neglected the miserable power they developed new has faded to the point where a Nana in a Yaris can drag them off.

Police analyst - can't you get some data on how many Soarers get done for eg speeding versus other cars on the road?

Going by the production tables around 150,000 Soarers were made, this includes the US Lexus cars.

As i said, short of getting compliance plate numbers for this country anything else is a wild guess

BAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAH!

I would say the estimate of 20k would be the one to go with.
