What oil do you use?
Water Temp Sensor? (There are two)
Test ISCV?
Any errors when running diagnostics?
When at operating temperature, does the car run normal with no loss of power?

capacitors are affected by temp. could be caps in ECU.

warm the ecu with a hair drier then try to start .

Mine used to idle really rough (400-500 rpm) on cold starts, so I cleaned out the throttle body with carby cleaner and now it idles between 1000-1200rpm when it's cold.

Chris,in your profile it says you have a Mines ecu. Have you tried with a standard ecu? My mines did need the caps done in it, however I don't think that's your problem. It should be running rich when cold and lean off as it warms up, it could be the temp sender to the ecu that's faulty.
that might explain the hard to start problem (way too rich).
