All cars run better on a cold day there is not much you can do about it. Just fit a 50 shot of NOS, that should make all the difference needed and is one of the cheapest ways to get some better performance from the V8.

Get a few metres of flexible ducting- hook one end up to an air vent inside your car, the other end to the airbox opening. Now everytime you blast your aircon, you'll also be blasting cool cool air into your airbox, giving you that crisp, responsive feeling in all conditions*.

have you tried mounting a huge block of ice over the front head light. will cool down your intake and intercooler.
but yes cooler air temps means the air is more "dense" so the air atoms/molecules (my science teacher gf will shoot me for not writing this right) are all jammed in together. and so you can fit more air into your cylinder.
more air in your cylinder means you can also squirt more fuel into the cylinder and your computer knows and does this. all this means you can create a better and bigger bang and make more power.

Years ago, riding air-cooled bikes (especially BMW "boxers") I noticed that power and smoothness was enhanced in cool weather, and especially in fog (which led me years later to think about water injection and how it works).
In latter years I've been surprised to find that both my current (petrol) SUV and last (diesel) 4WD achieve(d) better economy in warmer weather, and not just over short trips, either (where poor economy would be explained by enriched mixture to cope with cold engine).
Mine is the E-Managed Blue PiggyBack ECU, need to check receipts for the cost, can't recall. There is noticeable difference from a stock one but i guess it will be even more obvious done in a TT.
