when I bought my Soarer it came with a different ignition key than the door and boot lock key. This is a hassle if I want to get another key cut, I have to get 2 Is there a way to redo the door locks so that they will work with the ignition key? and would that mean that I could get the remote to work as it won't work at the moment (I bought a battery to try it). Also my passengers door won't always lock with the central locking, it always opens with it. I have to go around to the passengers door and open it and then physically lock it by pushing the black plastic door lock closed and then close the door holding the external door handle up. This is very inconvenient. I can not lock it from inside via the internal plastic door lock, it won't push fully home. Anyone had these problems? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi John, It sounds to me like you have a sticky lock on the passenger side (its common in these cars) I have read that the way to fix this is to take the door card off, give the door lock (internal) a clean and a spray with WD40. As for getting all the locks the same it can be done (heard its expensive though) any old lock smith should be able to do it, but he will need to replace the lock barrels. Hope this helps you mate

Has anyone ever done this on a Soarer before? The last link doesn't take me anywhere with regards to getting the kit for the Soarer key. As far as I understand different keys have different kits and the Soarer key is not such a common one. I can't find anything on the net that is specific to my type of key? Anyone have more light on this? Cheers John

john, have you sent a pm to adam lonergan about changing the ignition barrel. You could also ask a locksmith about the cost of changing the ignition barrel to match the door key. Remove it yourself.
regarding the passenger door, i remember a previous post saying by resoldering the connections at the motor they fixed the problem.

Hi Tom, I have contacted Adam Lonergan and will act on some advise there but caught with a bunch of other things at the moment. I will talk to a locksmith at earliest convenience. Thanks for your help. I will post when I have some developments. Cheers John
