Right! Now I have my new high flow cats fitted to my UZZ31 limited (which were fitted by James at Carline mufflers and exhausts in Kalgoorlie, I have to say I was very impressed by his level of service). My attention is now turning to my EMV and CD stacker. Basically, the EMV has power to it (if you sit in the car when its dark and turn the ignition key, the EMV lights up but is blank) and the cd stacker makes an awkward sounding noise when trying to load cd's but doesn't load anything. I have noticed a chap on here that you can send these parts away to for reconditioning and conversion...but is it worth it??? Or is it worth me just replacing the EMV and CD stacker with a good touch screen unit that has dvd/bluetooth/sat nav etc. Ok, so I presume I will lose air con settings if I do this and maybe one or two other features but I'm caught in two minds which is going to be the best way to go. Thoughts and advice will be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks folks. Yes, I noticed the contact information for Damian and I'm seriously considering it. It would be nice to keep the original parts but, I am in two minds. The problem I have is unfortunately, I wasn't born with a mechanical/D.I.Y brain, even a brake cable on a push bike gives me trouble. So anything I get done I'll end up paying someone to do it so cost will play a part.

Paul I've seen people do away with the EMV before and fit an aircond control display from a TT model instead, while also installing a double din cd/DVD touchsreen, etc

My EMV is on the way out, so I'm just getting rid of it all and replacing it with a TT climate control, plus a double din head unit of somesort. Need to start looking.
