these guys are SHOCKING. (firstly SORRY to rip your post to shreds)
BUT
there is NO customer contact, their "insurance" isn't worth the paper it's written on, it's a joke.
YEAH they're cheap. but at a bigger cost than what it's worth!
let me get this one review... poor bloke. hold on..
Pros: cheap Cons: worst courier ever used Overall: only 9 out of 12 parcels delivered and only 3 of them were on time, lost our freight and wont give explanation as to where it is, no refunds, poorest communication ever recieved, warning warning warning !!!!! do not use this company
^^^12 parcels. 3 were delivered on time.. six more came in dribs n drabs... the rest was LOST!!!!
not to mention a particular friend of mine sent four work euroline DH rims - one arrived, the other three went "missing" ... no refund.

I have used e-go countless times and they are great for me. i have never paid for insurance and everything always gets here on time.
last time i used them was 2 weeks ago to pickup my 97 grille, 97 foglights and 97 tails from nsw on a tuesday and it was delivered to my house on thursday. only cost me $12 door to door for a large 15kg box.
about 2 months ago i had my R154 conversion on a pallet being sent over by josh rao from perth which took about 7 working days to get to me in melb. only cost less than $50 from memory.
all depends man, for me they have been very very reliable and quick. have you ever used e-go rowan or are you just going by feedback? you know that these feedback/review sites are mostly negative feedback, i mean not many people go out of their way to post positive feedback on these sites. its normally frustrated people that go out of their way to post negative feedback. here is a review on transdirect: http://www.productreview.com.au/showitem.php?item_id=81169 if i were you and following feedback, i would stay right away from transdirect as per the review

point taken
i haven't used e-go personally, no... i made my decision by the reviews.. and also three close friends who run businesses of which e-go has cost them a lot of money in lost stuff!

I've used E-Go. This is my one and only experience with them.
They got my address wrong, sent it to the unit next to me, so I emailed them, corrected the delivery address and they said they'd send it to me the next day. Didn't happen, so I went in search of the depot, which their website listed as being in Lara. I couldn't find it, so went home annoyed. Whilst I was out the next day, my lights had arrived, but chipped

i used ego once. was to ship a half cut. only cost like $150 or something bucks.
communication how ever was terrible.
they lied and said the pick up end didn't have a forklift (they actually turned up with the wrong style truck and couldnt fit the half cut on)
ego actually just organize other couriers, as i picked up my half cut from some "hunter shipping" place i think. which is their newcastle listed depot. nothing there had e-go on it.

used e-go twice = complete supra 4 pot setup and a set of vsxx wheels to vic and NT respectively. both sets got to where they were suppose to so no complaints so far...!

yep e-go are owned by hunter express if im not mistaken. they are not an actual courier company, they just use contractors. I work at star track express and we sometimes handle e-go freight

I've used E-go, my experience was quite pleasant, although I used depot to depot service. Have also used transdirect, they are also good.
It really depends on the nature of the package you are sending. For example, one company might not let you send an engine + gearbox without being in a fully enclosed wooden crate, and another company might not have an issue at all as long as it's strapped and wrapped.
You just gotta be really careful reading the terms and conditions so you know what you're getting into.
