YEAH!!! DONT CHANGE YOUR CAR OR TRY NEW THINGS.
EVER.
=)
yeah they're made in china - as is EVEYRTHING these days...
roll the dice on it i reckon - 90 day warranty is fair - and for the price they are.. with our exchange rate, why wouldn't you?
i had a few XS power bits n pieces on my cefiro - such as stainless dump pipe, stainless manifold, stainless 3in exhaust...
it all worked great until the manifold warped and bowed - which, sounds bad i know...
but keep in mind it was a non turbo cefiro that i converted to turbo at age 20 and at the time - there wasn't too much info out there on how to build cars like waht there is now!!
so when i put the manifold bolts on... i did them up in this order:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
when it should have been:
3, 2, 1, 1, 2, 3
(bolt up from the centre outward to put pressure on the outsides)
it all works GREAT in my opinion so long as you:
A) know what you're doing when putting it on
B) if you DONT know - get someone who DOES. and you TRUST
C) take it like a cheap experiment - if it works - great! you're laughing cos you got a cheap turbo kit... if it goes bang - who cares? you blew 1.5K on a turbo kit that didn't got he way you'd hoped. better to do that than spend $130 a week on a new commodore that depreciates half it's value over 2 years, right?
i know a few guys running china turbo kits - they work..
oh that's my other bit of advice - USE TOYOTA GASKETS!
the only things that let these kits down is their gaskets - they're just... not.. that.. good.
so where possible - get the proper toyota gaskets. if the kit is a GOOD kit then it should all be interchangeable with OEM stuff. do that and the hardware will work great!
eliminate ALL possible errors and you'll be fine...
