Common complaint with all German cars - either soft and wallowy or go-cart hard with teeth rattling feedback - they don't seem to do the middle ground.

I do it all the time too - if you select the text and then click the quote button of the message above or below by accident, it uses the name out of the quote button's message. Not sure how its coded, probably Javascript - could probably be fixed so its more able to deal with user error :-)

Standard BMW's are quite good comfort wise and IMO they do find a good balance.
I've still not driven an "average" German car that has a better balance than an "average" Italian car (Alfa-Romeo's for example always seem to hit the sweet spot - at least until they stop moving all together).
I've never driven anything sporty though - actually thinking about it, I've only ever had a ride in a C63 and a Cayman S, which were both VERY firm - the Cayman S I think forgivably so since you expected it, the CL63 just seemed out of place harsh - at least as a passenger - of course it had loads of settings so could have just been the way it was set up.
Hmm, I need to get more of my rich friends to hand over the keys... maybe I need more rich friends too.
