Just out of curiosity I was wondering if anyone here has experienced a soarer non-interference engine, timing belt snap. I've heard even though its a non-interference, its not pretty.

A while back my idler pulley gave up and caused the belt to rub and melt. Engine stopped and temp gauge went up bit over half way but got new timing belt and all the pulleys, water pump, tensioner etc and was good as new.
Now I just have to replace the A/C pulley bearing. Mines an early model, not sure when but think around 94-96 became interference engines.
