Oh Bruce, "Ex soldier, fed Policeman and Airman" if the students and public servants are the lefty comrades as you so beautifully put it in a haze of poor grammar and unneccessary capitalisation then this must make you the right wing, heavy handed, imperialist, right?
I think it is very bad form to use people's backgrounds to complain about their views on something. Come on mate, you know this isn't about political correctness, its about being polite to a fellow human being.
Dictatorship? LMFAO. We all get along just fine until you want to make comments that offend another person, then we get nasty.
Perhaps you should go and join some 'lefty' forum where you can make any comments you want.

A few points here if I may.
It isn't a matter of political correctness. Humour is encouraged, and enjoyed by most, offensive suggestions or offensive comments are not. They will be deleted and repeat offenders will be sin binned.
Potentially this is a dictatorship, I could just shut the entire board down if I wanted to and there is nothing anyone can do about it. However, as the first rule of having power is learning not to use it, you will find that none of the moderators use a heavy hand when dealing with issues unless it has gone well beyond the point of being reasonable.
More likely offenders will hear the voices of other members expressing their own views of the post and/or poster. Moderation by the masses as it were
We also realise that a lot of new members come from forums with different views of what is acceptable, so we usually ask people nicely to lift their game as a first step. Once we get that far, most people are happy to be more positive with their participation and realise the benefits of SC not becoming Twonk City.
The community comprises people with a lot of different views, as long as those views are not offensive to other people, then feel free to share them with us and enjoy the ensuing discussion. However, repeated use of the soap box for any particular topic will peeve people and can qualify you for sin bin.
Perhaps it's a pity that the moderating team haven't been more pro-active in policing the forum, hence some valuable people have chosen simply not to post (or even read) on SC just because of the low quality of noise put out at times by some people.
With all this in mind, I think it is very unfair to label SC as a dictatorship in the nasty sense that has been used, just because an offensive post was deleted.
Bruce, feel free to pull out if you can't do any better than your recent posts, you will be sorely missed I am sure. Or lift your game and allow the other members to enjoy your posts.
To all, let it be understood that the moderators will be more proactive from now on.
It's a new year people, lets make it a good and enjoyable one.

"Reading the profiles of the people complaining of the POLITICAL CORRECTNESS of the posts, I see a public servant and two students whinging about the sky is falling and we must crucify the non believers of political correctness...."
I wasn't referring to political correctness at all. I was talking about the constant harassment of certain female members by people thinking they are funny.
I think it's ironic you point out that I'm a student, and I'm being the one being more mature.

At severe risk of being machine-gunned by both warring parties rather than establishing peace, may I suggest that both of you relax now? Without going into specifics, there is at least a little merit in both the anything goes and the don't screw me around positions. Let us leave behind any previous comment considered to be a mistake and work to have less contentious or offensive positions on the next thread where we meet. That is, kill this one folks. Life goes on and your merits are recognised even when you do not have the last word.

David does that mean you want me to pose for you? or is it that you suggest we form a committee or think tank and brainstorm this topic. Then find the offending bliter and horse whip him with the anti-discrimination legislation till he is beaten into admitting he is a sexist, racist ,homophobic average male?? Or do you just mean this topic is done??
