Two possibilities... either fitted in Japan (I've just acquired a manual TT with Lexus badges, and it arrived from Japan like that), or fitted by the original importers in the UK so that they could charge some unsuspecting punter for a "Lexus".

Why are you guys concerning yourself with badges?
The argument is about as relevant as which rapper you prefer .. Tupac or biggie.
Like yeah okay ten years ago the argument had a place in our community but COME ON. Seriously 2011 and you're still banging on about the badge debate??
Let me break it down, much the same as Australia and USA are "jdm" obsessed, the Japanese are inversely obsessed with USDM gear.
Up until 2004 with the introduction of the Lexus brand in Japan, the most extravagant way to drive was to drive a LHD reimported Lexus!!
So, naturally some Japanese like to have a badge on their cars..
End of story.
