my son has returned my car with the above problem.

IE: when selecting AM, FM or TV, screen goes blank, no audio is heard.

All other functions on the EMV work correctly.

i have carried out the diagnostic check shorting Tc to E1.

Error ECU 6 came up.

What does that mean?

Ps to the above, there is no "beep" when am,fm or tv buttons are pushed.

Tom, have you double check fuse 24 on the driver side kick panel fuse box.

Certainly sounds like the radio unit communications wires are disconnected or the radio box is not receiving any power to it.

have found the problem.

Q701, a transistor in the radio unit is burnt out.

I would guess this is on the coms line.

Just need to find a working radio unit.
