But it'll look exactly like a 1jz. No need to register the motor . It'll be a bolt on job with a few minor mods and you can freshen up all the bits while you're at it. timing kit, water pump, head gasket, seals etc.

Okay just found out that basically unless the engine came with the car or from the car range such as putting a 2jz-ge or v8 into it I would have to get it engineered and that would cost around $1,100 so it looks like I'll just put a 1jz into her and call it a day No way I can afford to fork out $5,000 at a bare minimum and that's if your engineer decides not to be such an ass on the day, one of them started saying my suspension needed to be engineered and I'm thinking thanks import nazi!!!

LOL that's exactly what I thought. I wanted to drop a 1uz in my car and opened a thread on it but I was told I'd run into engineering issues but the manufacturer has that engine as an option for that vehicle chassis. Glad you cleared that up.
If yuo're looking to rebuild your 1jz, then go the 2j bottom end. Well worth it!

tim the back turbo on a 2jzgte sequential set up. doesn't like to be run in parallel. with out changing the rear turbo exhaust housing to a front turbo housing. then dump pipes have to be made ETC
