front tires are wearing normally, pressure is correct, fronts and rears have been rotated, but steering still feels "loose" and sometimes seems to have a delay in the car turning and creates a sensation of slow response.
I have put the car on a hoist and checked there is no play in the front wheels and also no play from the steering wheel to the wheels turning when the wheels are straight ahead.
I also checked the rack for no movement. I intend to recheck all the above. Any other suggestions?
(upper and lower control arms had new bushes last yr)

Tom having done this job a few times ,to get to the top bush on the rack it quicker to remove the alternator, also as Dan says Poly will cause more NHV. bushes are the same size
