I wouldn't recommend it. A few problems has shown up due to the use of it in the soarer. Read about a person who's fuel sender stuffed up with the use of E10. Not to mention the alcohol in it tends to eat rubber.

its you do not save money, A tank of fuel costs less, but you get much less kms to the tank so it is false savings on top of the bad side effects.

Like everyone is saying, and it has never taken off cause there are too many informed motorists out there. And maybe even more so on our older cars, and it s**f's the fuel sender. There is a Jap sticker on my fuel flap and it says use 100. (and this was in 91, Japan is miles/km's ahead of us).

I've used united e10 95 octane on and off for a few years no worries. I am using united 100 octane now. In my 1jz I use either ho 98 or united 100. Now that my 1uz is tuned up and charged I am only using 98 or 100. I intend to run e85.

prolonged use (couple of tanks) in my jzz30 caused the electronic fuel gauge to stuff up. it would read erratically, it would just from empty to 3/4 to 1/2 to full and all over the place. i don't know why by our electric fuel senders do not like E10.
other then that i didn't really notice much of a performance issue with it. no real different to using 91 octane.

Been using vp 100 10% ethanol for 4 years with no issues . 1/4 mile passes , 65,000kms of driving all done on that fuel ( with the odd bp98 on long range trips ) .
Can't fault it . It's basically the united 100 . I've had zero pump issues , sender issues .

Do NOT use United 100 on your Soarer (If V8) as the fuel sender will not work. I have had this happen to me - had to take out the fuel sender, clean and re-assemble plus flush the tank with BP98. It's honestly not worth it.

The reason you are able to run it is due to 100 octane compensates for the ethanol losing its burn efficiency. Now problem is out of main cities they dont sell 10% 100 octane, we only get 10% 91. Ethanol can attack the rubber components depending on what the rubber consists of and where the fuel comes from. Also absorbs moisture so can rust older fuel components. I can honestly say. Since e10 came out i have gone from doing a fuel pump every month to maybe 3-4 a week. All of them use e10, even cars 2-3 years old are having problems with it. They also have been killing o2 sensors from their lean running and also been doing alot of catalytic convertors and also cars burning exhaust valves if they get a nasty batch that is probably more than 10%. Now... In saying that.. Ethanol is a great fuel IF the car has been designed to run it. Ie stainless lines and fuel components, programming and sensors that can monitor the ethanol percentage and compensate mixtures and timing to suit.

I've Run United's "PlusULP" which is 95 10% ethanol, pretty much exclusively for the last 10 months or so, runs perfectly. with the odd use of BP Ultimate 98. I certainly wouldn't run any less than 95 in a soarer.

I've been using E91 (which is actually 92-93 octane) in Koleos, when I can get it, with better economy than 95, and in the Soarer, United Plus, when I can get it. As I'm in the bush I can't always get E fuels (none locally) so it's unusual for my cars to have a tank of "pure" E fuel. I've never had any issues though.

These are the stickers on the fuel flap of my 91 Limited. So in 91 you could fill up with 100 in Japan. VERY lucky if you could get 98 in Aus then. And Toyota recommended/specified 100 Oct. for the V8. So where are the third world countries, in the East or the West?

Aka , on sunnyholt rd ! There is a servo between the Shell Coles and BP. Volume plus I think . 1 bowser has 100 octane . It's about 1.60 ish per litre .
Must be alright , hasn't blown mine up in 4 yrs lol ;)
