hi everyone, my steering has recently started making noises.

not sure why, but when i turn left or right, it sounds like something is rubbing or squeaking.

i can actually her it comming from the wheels, or around that area.

it sounds horrible. i have checked the power steering oil and its full.

does anyone know what could be wrong?

cheers!

Yep , have a look at the plastic inner guard liners . They can tear down on the tyre and there is an electrical harness on the v8 from memory that can be affected if not checked out .

Jack the front up , remove both wheels and check for marks or wear on the plastics . Could be from being broken or broken screws not holding them up properly .

Chris, if the PS fluid is old and burnt, that can cause the pump to sound bad. I flushed one of mine when it was noisy with the level being OK, and the flush worked a treat.

Chris, the same for me as Peter above, the mechanic told me the fluid was like treacle.......I couldn't believe how quiet it was after it was flushed
