Hi Guys,
I desperately need Help !!
My car 1991 Toyota Soarer V8 Limited with EMV
I came up the idea of changing my EMV to Non EMV with a TT climate control with a 2din Head unit.
My mechanic told me he will look thru it and I left my car with them for almost 2weeks. They call me up today and said they can’t do it and put everything back on!!
I had everything
1) TT climate control (lights need replacing) 2) Aftermarket 2din head unit 3) Amp and sub
I am totally useless when I come to electronics, I always will screw it up badly.
I know there is a lot of Topics cover over this conversion but I just totally suck at electronics.
If there is anyone knows how to do this conversion and help me out by hooking up everything properly Please do help me out here!!
I only left with $300 as I had just paid my mechanic for trying to get it done. I am not sure is it enough for anyone that can help me out.
Small tips and bits needed such as amp wiring, soldering iron, heat treat items, some beers etc. I am willing to dig into my change box to supply them.
Please anyone in VIC had done this conversion before PM me to help me out that will be awesome!!!! (I’m in Burwood, Vic)

there is a thread somewhere by a guy who used the plugs off an emv and made up the loom externally, then just plugged it in. That would be easy for any electo or anyone with some elect kmowledge. Do a few searchs and try to find that thread.

I had printed them out and show to my mechanic, Obviously what he claimed that he was unable to take out the Aircon Unit out, therefore he is unable to do it. I will be reading it for a few days and see how it goes, But anyone offer to come just to get my EMV out and replace with a TT climate control i will be a more than happy. Cheers.

not sure what your mechanic could not do,
Is it remove the emv? most guys have done the mod by splicing wires into the loom. this is a difficult , time consuming job. making the adaptor harness externally (using plugs off an EMV)so it just plugs in is a lot easier. do a search on "chris lock" and send him a PM . He may be able to help you.
