I have a black 96 JZZ31 and it was going fine for the last few months and then today everything that could go wrong went wrong.
Early in the morning I was dropping a mate to the airport and it over heated so had to park it at the airport. Figured out that the hose which sends coolant to the throttle body was perished and leaking so I went and bought plugs and some coolant and they blew off on the way back home so I bought a new hose and more coolant so that is fixed. But to get to this hose i pulled the battery out because its had to get to. Didn't clamp the battery back in properly and it hit the belt and cracked so I had to buy a new one.

i haven't had my battery clamped down in 2 or 3 years. never had a problem. sorry to hear though, just remember how fun and nice our cars are to drive. and remember that they are all starting to get to around the 15+ years range (guess the youngest ones will still be 12 years old) and are going to need some love to keep them running
