Could be a good project. Looks rather shagged though... even at a cosmetic level, let alone mechanically.

So sad that it's in this state. You'd think people would take care of these rare cars.

What makes you say that Mike? interior looks to be still fairly good condition besides the common driver seat lumbar wear... and apart from the obvious front bar being cracked and need replacing... the headlights and body work probably just need a good wash, followed by a good cut and polish to bring it up... If the mechanical sides of things are still good I reckon it'd be a great bargain for someone |

It looks in very good condition, those leather seats are still good it probably just has dirt from sitting around making it look bad

Well I was being harsh, it's probably more neglected than shagged. Paint work is very dull looking, some paint fade/clear coat peel going on, dirty staining on interior parts, steering wheel leather looks due for replacement. Classic tired headlights. But all this stuff is fixable with the right effort. But the next question is whats the active suspension like? Nitrogen brake accumulator, bushes and ball joints would probably be due for a replacement too, lets not also forget the door hinges, EMV electrics or digital dash... I think it could be restored easily, just depends how much someone would want to spend on it, given it's an active I'd be inclined to buy it given the right circumstance!

Should I add paint has swirl marks, it has dirt on the floormat, doesn't seem to be detailed within the last week, Wiring harness near Compliance plate looks dirty, dirt on center console side, Lexus badge not shiny enough.

I see its also one of the rare ones. Its a Lexus Soarer, not a Toyota Soarer, or a Lexus SC400 On a more serious note, are they really worth sinking money into anymore? Seeing as Soarers in general are going for bugger all, and unless within the Soarer enthusiast group, they wont be a collectable item in the future. I know they have there good points, but just wondering.

Depends on the person. I've had my '31 for years, but I still have always wanted a '32 and was very pleased to pick one up to do up late last year...I plan to fix its woes, respray and retrim, the whole works...Not for resale, just for me...there's just something about a '32...Maybe I'm just nuts |

Hey, dont get me wrong, I love my Soarers too. I see(as lots on here do) things with Soarers that "normal" people cant understand. I thought I could get away from them, but keep coming back. I would love a 32, and a late VVTI turbo as well. My 31 isnt perfect, but its a good base to start with. It will be interesting to see what it brings.

Ian your comment "I see(as lots on here do) things with Soarers that "normal" people cant understand." is so true. The general public think soarers are terrible things. The amount of comments I get along the lines of "Oh it's just an old soarer" or "what made you get one of those?" or "Of all the cars out there why a soarer?". I don't get it. Amazing car in it's day. Much more rigid and suitable as a performance base than the Supra which still commands so much admiration from people (thank you fast and the furious and Gran Turismo). Skylines (r32,33,34) are all still very popular even in rear drive rb25 form. I see so many r34 GT25's running around with P plates now. Surely though it wasn't always this way. Soarers were very popular a few years ago. What changed that perception?

I do not find that! I park my Soarer on the front at the car yard ,get called in when salesman is on hols, get guys wanting to buy it all the time. I find none car people think Soarers are late models cars due to the styling. 92 Soarers are still fetching $4-5k, 92 Falcons $200,92 BMWs 3/5 $500 ,
