Hello again in 2013!
Well, our cars are quite old now....and it is great for my project for this year! It's becoming a true JDM classic.
My post is about driving a Soarer in a certain spec. Performance one, street legal.
In my country, the main issue with the authorities are the tax for registration. For an old car with Euro 1 tax pollution class, the tax will be well over 1000 Eur (from 5.000 Eur before). So, this will be good in 2013 to register the Soarer.
So, the questions:
1.How is it to drive the car with the diff welded, on public roads? I'm interested only in facts not guessing that it will be nightmare to park...It is OK in driving on freeways?
2.I want to drive with negative camber on front. How much is the ware on the tire if doing more than say, 4 degrees negative camber?
3.The doors. Well, they are too heavy. I want them rebuild from aluminium from zero. Also, new hinges and from one piece, not with glass rails like the stock ones.
4.Until new coilovers, it is OK to cut a bit from the springs?
5.What about maximum wheels size with stock fenders? 10J ET25 on R17 will work without scratching?
6.How to increase steering angle easy?
Thank you SC members for your support and wish you a great year!
