Do you think the price of Soarers are likely to appreciate? More specifically, the twin-turbo model. I've noticed lately that there's been less and less TT Soarers appearing for sale here in New Zealand. And if I see one listed, it's usually gone pretty quickly. This would be good news if Soarers are going to be worth more in future!

Well i can remember when an XA GT was worth $4000.oo
Now your look at them around 40 to $60,000.oo.
So you just never know.
So when i had mine it gave me no end of trouble.
But now it would about $60,0000.oo,,,, no end of trouble but who care.

Maybe some specific models might gain a little (eg TT manual, UZZ32 - because they are a bit special) - but I don't think you can compare them to an historical icon type vehicle like the Falcon XA GT in any way - they have value because for all sorts of reasons they have massive followings of worshippers (deservedly or otherwise) many of whom have far more money than sense.

The Soarer's appeal and levels of interest are a lot more limited.

So short answer is, they probably won't decrease in value much more than they already have, but don't expect them to be any kind of an investment.

Get some celebrity to drive one around and the value will go up. Lexus has got Paris Hilton drive one, the one (LFA??) that cost >$700,000.

The LFA is a very special car though - for a start they made even less of them than the UZZ32 - as well as being a bona fide supercar. Totally wasted on Hilton though.

And if Paris Hilton didn't drive one, it'd be $800,000 :-)

I think you mean glorious waste...

Still, apparently Lexus loses money on each one sold, so you got to wonder just how much they _really_ cost...

While the LFA looks nice the Interior is like a Toy so that is not something that is worth $800,000 to me.

The Soarer is a great car and I can see it's value going up only if there is a market for it e.g Soarer enthusiasts left and not just the guys that want it just because its turbo.

I don't care what the inside looks like and I don't care if it is the best car ever. I can't afford it and even if I win the lottery i still won't buy one. I can think of much better ways of spending me money, like donating it to charity :-) :-) :-)

Good call Vincent - really, that's just way too much money to spend on a car when you could have just as much fun with something 1/5th of the price and doing something really good with the change.
