I used to use toyodiy to find all the part numbers for items I need to order but they no longer display photos/diagrams anymore making it near impossible to search for obscure part numbers. Does anyone know of any other sights that provide this service?

How do you search for specific cars though? You've given the link for post 97. I need the link for pre 97.

Thanks Ali. My EPC does not work on the new lap top so I rely on Toyodiy.

Is there a reason the images are gone?

Toyota have been trying to put a stop to toyodiy for ages. I guess they have finally succeeded.

Hello,

We're very sorry but per Toyota demands we had to remove the diagrams from the site.
If you really need the diagrams you might want to get a hold of a CD called Toyota EPC.
Note: we do not distribute this application.

Hi , I have found your site very handy and a valuable resource when repairing my Soarer model 32

I have noticed that the most valuable resource and the one I use all the time ( the illustrated parts catalog) no longer has any illustrations. Is there any means by which this extremely valuable tool can still be accessed? I guess there is a reason this has been removed but I would like to know why, or if there is anything I can do to have it returned.

regards

What's the point of shutting down a site that Allows people to find part numbers that will help Toyota parts sales.

Perhaps Toyota should spend the funds and time on shutting down Toyo-diy on making a decent car rather than the they sell today.

A real shame and a blow to those of us who've been very loyal to Toyota over the years!

I use ToyoDIY like a bible for Toyota parts. As Boris says - it HELPS Toyota parts sales!

I've spent literally thousands of dollars in Toyota Genuine parts and I really liked ToyoDIY because it means you can just email the Toyota dealer of your choice with the part number already sorted and there's no parts interpreter getting grumpy 'cause you're trying to describe some obscure part to them and they don't understand (or I don't understand) or more often, the lecture about how they don't "do" parts for grey imports.

~SIGH~ Oh well. Just a shame, that's all

Where can you buy EPC? How much do they cost? Do all the latest ones still have Soarer info?

There are a couple on eBay but they are Euro versions, so no Soarers.

Yeah I noticed this a day or so ago, thought it weird as one day it was working, the next day it wasn't so I thought maybe the site was having issues.

I agree it's shortsighted of Toyota, and wonder if it was Toyota Japan or US that was behind it. Idiots.

The diagrams were initially removed back in 2009 when Toyota US kicked up a stink (if you think about it, regardless of the benefits the EPCs are still Toyota intellectual property and they have a right tocontrol who can buy/access them), but then ToyoDIY put them back up with the disclaimer about the "Right To Repair" campaign (plus there was some regional blocking/restrictions I believe).

It has taken until now for it to finally come to a head though, which is a pretty good run if you ask me.

Too bad some smart lad didn't save it all. Quite big I guess.

Remember the way the car industries going they don't want you to fix your car rather just buy a new disposable one.

Sad indeed. Especially from Toyota a quality manufacture.

That's the irony though, nobody's going to buy the new crap cars Toyota makes, so instead of whatever income they make selling parts to people with second hand cars, those people will just sell their Toyotas and go buy a new Mitsubishi or Subaru or Ford.
