I'm after some opinions here guys.
I'm about to re-register my V8 after a long hiatus. I have a TINY little issue, in that the odometer LCD has bled, and the bloody thing is near impossible to read. I've been watching it, so I can work out how many kms it is showing, but I'm wondering if the mechanic will fail the car on the merit that the odometer can't be read.
The auto/systems teacher (qualified mechanic with a Diploma of Education) at the school I teach at seems to think each mechanic would have a different take on it, and if he was still doing his trade, he wouldn't give two hoots about it so long as I could tell him how many kms to write on the form.
What do you blokes think? Anyone got any experience with this?
