I am sure you know, but be careful man, ct15b turbo's don't like too much boost. When I removed mine after 10,000k's on 15psi, there was oil pouring from the rear of the turbo, and tons of shaft play.

I know the life is limited
But I am upgrading to a tomie soon. I hope before it dies on me.
Then again I only drive it 3 ish times per week.
Also no wastegate leak or sticky wastegate it's just been cold the last few nights.

Haha, if you're upgrading soon, then no problems! I know what you mean about cold nights. When I had my stock turbo and no e-manage to remove boost cut, all I had was a 2.5 catback, and a Greddy LS FMIC, and I'd hit boost cut easily on cold nights.

Btw you'll love the Tomei! Mine pulls very hard. They're a little laggier than stock, but that's to be expected given they're a physically, bigger turbo.

Is boost cut set higher on a VVTI ?? as it seems strange that you were getting a reading of 17 PSI before hitting boost cut, as on a TT there is no way you would get any where near 17 psi before hitting boost cut, I think from memory its around 13.5 - 14 psi, so maybe your gauge is reading a bit high, either way its a good figure with out Mods .

I did wonder the same thing when it was hitting 16, so I changed gauges and there was no change in the reading.
it's not holding at 17 just spikes for about 2 to 3 seconds and then slowly drops to 13. It's more consistent at 15 & jumps to 15 in under 1 sec.
And the boost cut , I was under the impression it was at 14 aswell, but there are a few things I'm still working out to what the previous owner had/has done to it. There were some strange things he had done. Eg, there was a block valve in the vac line so it was running on no limit to boost and was boost cutting before it could even spool. Odd. And the line into the bov had a T piece in it. Anyhow I fixed up all the odd things with the vac lines. And I'm sure I will find more strange things as I keep working on it.
