Hi guys, I'm about to buy an unregistered V8 Soarer. It is in solid condition - which means there are no leaks, no rust, no rips, nothing of any concern regarding the function of the car. All electricals work, all mechanicals work.
However, I have never had to do a blue slip before. I have no idea how strict they are in terms of getting into the nitty gritty. Here are some areas of concern:
- Car runs a pod (I'm pretty sure I'll need to revert to factory air box) - Car has the entire exhaust system swapped from the headers to tip - Car is running aftermarket wheels with thicker tyres - Car has undergone a manual conversion
I'm confident that the dB level on the car isn't an issue, but who knows? According to the owner, the police have pulled over the car several times randomly and even after a walkaround and a engine bay inspection, there was nothing to start any trouble about.
Anyway, my question is simply: what are your experiences with blue slips? __________________
