Hey lads!

A fantastic week for No.32 - after a 13 year period spent deactivated. I have spent the best part of $3500 NZD on the car to get the suspension operating once again. I had no idea what to expect but it's working beautifully once again.

Of course I can't thank Dave Hart enough for on selling the car to me.

The plan is to just sort out the suspension further, bushes and over haul the valvebody, fit a good set of performance 16" tyres and run a full exhaust, possibly a manual conversion at the end - otherwise just cosmetic restoration to get the original car looking like it did as new.

1720 psi

Struts in a wooden box took 3-4 days, $550 NZD hah. 62kg.

Worth it though.

Yes much lower, but factory height will do. High position is in test mode.

So can be made lower and still function as it should. Would love to experience this car.

I noticed it has the sweet spot spec of 1750 psi , to high or to low in pressure and it locks out and wont work.

Yeah, I read that so thought I better take the precaution. It was reading slightly out so I dialed it back in.

Interested in how you connected the pressure gauge, any photos of the fittings? Did you get your struts reconditioned or buy extras?

Hey Tim.

Yeah I just ran it inline off the main accumulator fitting like this 400 bar rated line and fittings. :-)

My restoration of the car is being documented on this facebook page of mine, plenty of pictures of what I've been doing:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/1704783899747828/

I'm currently looking for a second set of struts so I can rebuild those slowly and swap them in and do the same to my current ones, while they are fine it's good to do all this anyway.
