I've had a set of the premium horns lying around for a long time that I'd like to install. Can anyone provide information on the harness/splitter cable that is needed to fit these horns? I found a small photo so tried making my own, but it didn't work.
The stock horns have two connectors, one for power and one that grounds to the chassis. The premium horn has one connector and doesn't work with power only. I've tried grounding from the body of the horn but that doesn't work either. Could be I've got duds but wanted to check here.

Hi Robert..
I just installed this kit to my soarer earlier in the week! What are the odds?!
I used to be embarrassed to honk before because it sounded like a Yaris, but not any more
The weird thing is my (94) factory horn only had one connector and I just went to a wrecker and got another single horn connector and wired it in parallel and it works great.
So I assume that it does indeed ground through the chassis and is provided power through the single connector.
Bang a multimeter on your two pin connector and see what happens when you honk the horn.
You may have just tried it in the wrong polarity.. The single wire which goes to my horn is black with a grey/silver trace if that helps.

Thanks Tai. Long odds to find someone that just installed the kit! I'll check with a multimeter tomorrow. Will be good to beep and not have people think its a Jazz.

Hmm, I've just listened to a few 'premium horns' on youtube and think i'd still rather go with an airhorn from a Mack big rig or from a freight locomotive.

I've seen someone wire the premium horns in alongside the stock horns. Makes a lot of noise, but no doubt the truck air horns would get dawdlers out of the right lane.
