my 12 stacker is not playing, displays an error on the emv, and i cannot remove the cartridge.

is there a way to remove it in this situation?

Yeah I have done this before, long time ago.(from memory).
On the side of the stacker there is a removable plastic panel. Pop that off and you will see some plastic cogs. With the stacker lid open turn one of the plastic cogs, should only turn one way, this should raise the cartridge for removal.
