I have an afternoon off with not a lot to do, so i think i may have a crack at cleaning my engine bay. Is there anything wrong with me filling up my engine de-greaser gun and connecting to my air compressor and degreasing shizzle outta the bay, letting it settle and then wash it all out with water?

Will i need to cover anything up? Are there any other tips to give me a clean looking bay?
