Hey guys,

Is there any Vertex kit owners? The Kit looks ver nice and subtle, but how do you drive with it daily?

I have scratches on every part of my bodykit under neath. front bar, rear bar, left skirt and right skirt, either cracked or scratched. Mines not Vertex. Only a tab bigger than Vertex though.

Once you drive around a while and get used to how low it is, it isn't so bad. You start to think like, "can I get over that hump?" every time you see a hump.. Or with the UZZ31's, you can just flick a switch or two beforehand.
I just got a new bar on my TT before the new year, and still no scratches yet :-)
Can't say much for the V8 though..

Yeah its a BN sports kit. How do i drive it? well the first few months I drove it like a granny, become enraged when i just scratched it. Now Ive given up, cant help scratching it or smacking the skirts into a pot hole. Its just too late to flick the switch or press a few buttons to raise it up. I just jack it the hell up to 4wd mode to get into my work carpark. The driveway is painted gold now.

Khalid, I bought the kit off some guy on Ebay(laugh now). It was just a once off for him.

Vertex kit is perfectly liveable as long as you don't lower your car as well.
With the vertex front bar on mine it's about 12cm off the ground at the front.
The rear bar just behind the rear tyres is about 10cm off the ground, hard to get over the occasional harsh speed humps.

Hehe Duy, you ever get that stacker fixed?
My V8 bar is gone also. You can start to see cracks in the bar, not just the paint. I'm really hoping I don't ruin this bar in the same fashion, but I think it'll be inevitable since it's so close to the damn ground :-(

Gee I gotta get out more.

Nah its ok on the highway but on parramatta road, I'd rather listen to radio or non sound tunable mp3 player

to make matters worse, i jacked my car up and waited for Dominik to come over so we could replace a leaked airbag, my brother comes to lower the jack, spins too hard, front bar got crushed by the trolley jack pole, nice crack on the side and one beaten up brother.

BTW Shane, hows the sale going for the IS? wanna swap? :-)

Ouch. Sounds painful. Should've just driven onto some blocks of wood before jacking the car up. That's what I do when I need to go underneath the car to do random stuff.
By the way, just got my new TT and it bloody ROCKS! You should go buy one of them mate, hehe.

The trick to drive with full Vertex kit is to approach and exit speed bumps and driveways with MAX available angle, and literally crawling speed!! If in doubt that you can't drive over them safely, DON"T drive over them, just park off street or find another way. That's my experience with my last TT with full vertex and lowered coilovers.

Hehe, yeah. I cannot get out of my driveway unless I exit at a specific angle. Gotten used to it a while ago when I couldn't be bothered flicking the height switch on my V8. Now I can exit scratch-free if done at snail's pace, hehe.

Haha, yeah my mate does that with his S14. Most of the days it's just parked outside his house though. This sort of makes me wonder whether I should put my old springs back on my TT.

Vertex kits dont flare out as much as B&N sports kits even though they look similar.

I've got a B&N sports front bar fitted and side skirts in the garage. After I put it on for 3 months, I cracked it before I got around to painting it. Then I repaired the crack... and promptly cracked it again 3 months later. I've just given up attempting to paint it. I've got one of those better kits as well. Flexes a fair bit, but still doesnt stop it getting pushed around.

There are scrapes all over the bottom of my kit. But the front does look mad.
