I think i paid about 30 or so to get 2 cut at a chatswood locksmith. There expensive however compared to other keys as its some special key thats hard to cut right. The guy who cut my one had no idea it was lexus ot toyota just the type of key.

I paid $36 for one key to be cut a few months ago, just a regular black key, they said it would be the same price whether i supplied the blank or not, but they wouldnt guarantee it would work if i supplied my own.

Clayton, where did you get your keys done? Did you supply the blanks or not? $33 for two sounds cheap, I've been told there's only one place in SA that can do it (on Hutt St).

A place on South Road near Cafe DeVilli's. In between Richmond road and Deacon Ave. He supplied them but they were only blank keys with no immoboliser inside the key head. Both worked beautifully.

Cheers Clayton. I'm desperately needing another key as I've only one and if I lose it, I'm Fugged. No need for immobilizer etc, that's all aftermarket on my car.

Just paid $10 for the blank on eBay (delivered) and another $45 to get it cut at Preston Locksmith on High Street. Seems a bit steep and it would have been the same price without the blank. Will not be going back.

My blank looks very cheap, although I don't care because it's only getting left in my desk in case I look my keys in the car at work. It works both ways (it was copied properly) in the ignition and starts the car, although I do have an aftermarket car alarm which does the immobilising. It took my guy less than two minutes to cut the key.
The blanks Daniel has posted look much better quality.

They shouldn't cost any more to cut than any other key. They are a very common type of key. Even the same as a Magna. Just don't tell them it's for a Lexus or you are going to get ripped big time!!

I paid $33 on the weekend.
They also have a number on my key, and if I loose it. I just tell them the number that was on the key, and that its for a soarer.. and they can cut me a new one.. wait a min..
Im not sure if thats a good thing, having everyones keys on record. At least they dont have my info and where I live.
