Hey Guys,
A Work Mate wants to know is it worth putting Acrylic Laquer Coating on new Mags?
His lazy and thinks it will be easier to clean brake dust ECT off easier and may last longer?
There not Chrome Mags just Alloy.
Is it worth it or not? Will it wreck the Mags?

I wouldn't spray any kinda coating on them. I still think the best thing to do is to make sure there washed regularly so that the brake dust doesn't bake itself on the rims.

i read somewhere (maybe here) if you put a wax on the rim it prevents brake dust from sticking to them

A GOOD coating of a QUALITY carnuba wax WILL assist lots in protecting the finish, AND make em easier to clean
