Sam I just read your thread on your unlucky streak. It's a shame, especially after you posted the good pic's of your car after it was polished.It reminds me of the cartoon of the rat caught in the rat trap, and there is a line up of other rats to do the dirty on him while he is trapped. The caption read WHEN YOUR DOWN AND OUT, EVERYBODY WANTS TO f#@$%$K YOU!!!....Don't let the buggers get you down Sam. Your a bright, healthy,good looking girl AND YOU OWN A SOARER. Update: attempted to pay my speeding fine last night but was rebuffed. Apparently I was 1 day late on the due date of the fine, so now:
- the fine is increased by $12.50 (fair enough , I guess)
- they will not accept the payment until I receive the 'reminder notice' in the mail. (where's the logic in this?)
- the reminder notice takes approximately 1 month to arrive. (why again?)
So now I gotta sit here with this fine (which is now $162.50) for the next month or so before I can get rid of it. Damn the system!  |

if you forget and the reminder does not reach you for some reason they will fine you for not acting on the reminder you never received. |

Don, I kid you not mate When in QLD I got done for speeding (some pathetic amount over the limit plus the artist was at the bottom of a hill) I never received the infringement notice but I did get the reminder with the bonus points.
When I rang them the personage on the other end told me that a statute had been passed that said basically if they posted it you got it as far as the system was concerned.
 Reality -- who cares about that Laws are what matter. |
