25-27%?
uhh ok.

Mine was pinging pretty hard after I had 23% taken out.

What boost you running? What afr's you running?

20-21psi.... not sure on the AFR's.. was safe.. still have some black puffs under heavy load.... going back on the dyno in about 10 hours so I will check the AFR's... definitely wasn't pinging though.... started pinging at around 24psi.

Ahh right.

Of course you're going to need 440's with 20psi. I was referring to people running 14-15psi with 440's. I can't see any good reason to do so.

p.s. No wonder your winding out 25%, im winding out 20 with 330cc injectors haha, didn't see that before last post.

I had 440's with ceramics and made 225kw.. trimmed out a fair bit at 15psi also hehe

BUT

having 440's in is like having extractors on a V8...give give you that little more of a kick... I know others have said the exact same thing once fitting them..

If it ain't gonna give some more grunt to some of us V8 plebs out in lala land, I just SOOO don't want to know about it. I just wish I had enough bucks to make you peewee 3L guys go "OMG THAT THINGS GOT ENOUGH TORQUE TO RIP OUR MUFFLERS OUT RIGHT THROUGH THE INTAKE!" Which it would, if any of youse would stay behind long enough to test it!. Geez I hate being slammed like that.

paul - playing around on the road with a wideband O2 sensor tuning the fuelling on sunday, we took out nearly 25-27% at around 0.9bar of boost with my 440's.

simon and i are now actually wondering/thinking that 650's may not really be necessary at 18psi...we'll be keeping a close eye on injector duty cycles as we turn the boost up of course...and i wont be going any higher than 18psi until i have a "proper" engine management (e-manage ultimate or power FC), certainly wont be trusting the jaycar units at that end of the spectrum.

but yeah, the 440's seem to be plenty big enough at the moment.

I have 550's and I am about to be doing the same fuel tuning. I use a wideband on the street as well.

I wish some people were using ecu's that have ms of fuel rather than % correction as I could then compare against my setup.

My one probably has that chris (I know I have duty cycle, so can work back to get ms if need be), and I'll be getting the old girl tuned hopefully by the weekend, but i'm using 650cc jets.

Yeah that would be a good comparison. 3 single turbo setups one with 440s, one with 550’s and one with 650’s.

For interests sake how do you calculate it from duty cycle?

Inj size (cc per min), duty cycle, no. of injectors but can’t work out how to get it down to ms?

Is it inj size 650cc * duty cycle in % / 60

ie. 650 *.1/60 = 1.08ms
