I was just catching up on the latest SuperGT news and was surprised to see a Soarer leading the pack!! (technically its the Lexus Sc430 version as Lexus was released as a brand in Japan last year) The Open Interface SC430 took the first race of the season which is pretty impressive since its a newly developed car. It certainly looks the part with its massive flared arches!... ....so I wonder if the venerable GT500 Supras will be retired in favour of the newer Sc430/Soarer??

That sc430 does look better than the standard one but even with all those sporty add-ons, it looks nowhere near as nice as a stock fully optioned sc400! I can’t get over how hideous these sc430s are compared to the previous Soarer!
They don’t even look similar! Usually the next generation of car has similarities but not this one. Hopefully the future sc460 or something will be more like the sc400?

Air jacks it is. That wouldn't be a fuel line, that's thinner than a standard pump line!!! Race cars can only do their 10s tyre change and fuel fill because the fuel lines are like 4" thick. Try get 100ish litres of fuel down that line in a few seconds. Plus, you're not allowed to fuel a car on the grid, major safety concerns for the people who aren't wearing fire retardant clothing. Gotta keep the grid girls safe, what would peter use for eye candy otherwise?
