Not that variety, more so the blower fan for the climate control!!!

It would appear no matter what setting I have it set to, more air comes out of the footwell vents than any other vents, even if it's set to face only! Any ideas on what I should be looking at first? Is there like a mechanical selector vane that can go bung? I've never heard of this happening before so I am a little lost on the subject. Maybe one of the ducts has come adrift? I just thought I'd ask to see if anyone had any ideas/experiences with this before I go ripping my dash apart to get to it.

Cheers guys

Possibly the foam that is used to make the seals has disintegrated (as it does) and may be blocking the vent movement.

Or not.

Big job apparently and might not be the cause. It was only a suggestion.

Mostly the foam disintegrates and then blows out the vents, much to everyone's amusement when it happens - or annoyance. Completely dismantling to get into the ventilation system sounds like a huge job to me, though I guess your car is closer to it than most hehehehe..

What sort of foam would you replace it with?

My thoughts exactly! Might as well do it since the dash is half gone :-)

Probably go to Clark Rubber and get some of that stuff that has adhesive on one side. I'm leaning toward that grey stuff, more foam rubber than foam.

It could also be a little flapper valve not closing. They are electric solenoid actuated but I don't know where they are.

I've already done that, just got a coolant pressure warning. Not supprising since I don't have any gas in it!!! I'll get round to it one day. Might just have to add the ducting to my list for the weekend, after rear speakers, new parcel shelf, front struts/springs/bushes and try and go to work somewhere in between
