a good cheap (ish) mod that people over 6'4 with sunroofs can appreciate alot. The seating position is puuuuurrrfect, my eye level is mid way on the glass, and the centre of gravity is lowered alot (you lower a 150kg object two inches, you notice it, so do your brakes). No more hair brushing the roof! No more driving with your head tilted!! Relief.....!!

lateral support is maybe 20% better, not comparable to say, a set of fixed race buckets or big bolstered recliners, but an increase nonetheless. Coupled with the lowered position its on par with upgraded recliners.

Overall, if you have been thinking about this mod (as a few people have) I highly reccomend you go through with it.

And yes, they bolt STRAIGHT IN!! The only 'fabrication' required is giving the drivers seat -12v and +12v. The wire colors matched up in mine (pov pack jzz30, only an elec drivers lumbar, manual slide/tilt), only having two wires, a blue/white, and a black/white.

Looks great mate. Looks pretty stock to me. Glad to see it has a purpose other than enhancing cosmetics.. Not that enhancing cosmetics is a bad thing :-)

I believe there are Supra seats that actually have an electric seat for the driver?

The supra drivers seat has powered slide (fore aft) and tilt (azimuth and....)

So if you do the swap, you will lose passenger electrics (if you have them) and more than likely any memory functions of the drivers seat position. Its also a manual height adjustable seat.

Again, if you are of that special breed that aren;t vertically challenged, this is a great mod!

Vinh: I couldnt justify the cost for cosmetics sake! Id sooner spend 20bux on seat covers and some stickers if I cared about cosmetics. However, it does have the effect of making you wonder about the black interior path....$$$$

Been thinking about that mod for a while now, but they can't accomodate harnasess can they? Or is that split under the 'head rest' go all the way to the main body of the seat, allowing a harness in?

I have some SAAS racing recliners.


Really good. But if my hair is done up (lol) it will touch the roof (i was 1.86m last time i checked)

But my back seat passages love them cause they have HEAPS more room apparently

The split under the headrest is abit wider than the distance between the headrest posts on normal seats, i.e. harnesses would pass through easy.
