If you're wondering as to the cause of my ecstatic glee, I just got my car back from getting the springs, front bushes and front shocks replaced. OMG, what a difference!!! Apart from feeling every bump in the road now (slight side effect) the car goes where it is pointed, and stays in that direction until you tell it otherwise, a stark improvement over what happened prior.
Also factored in to the happiness stakes is the fact that all up the labour only cost me $254, and that included a full wheel alignment! I got the quote for just the work on the front, mum took the car out there for me today and said that I had all the parts in the boot, and to my suprise he did the rear springs as well. I was going to wait to do them until my rear shocks came in, but hey, I'm not complaining!

BTW, I got KYB shocks, Garry's old (6 month old) 2" lowered King Springs and super-pro (Fulcrum Suspension) bushes.
This is great, no moans and groans around corners or over bumps anymore! I still have a slight creak from the front, but the guys said that my sway bar bushes are cactus and that is where the noise is coming from. I'll add them to the list of things to do when I'm under the car next.

And just before someone asks why I didn't use VFT bushes (I think I said this a while ago)... As most of you know I am on a shoestring budget with this car and I managed to get all of the front upper and lower control arm bushes for under $160. It's nice to have mates with contacts in Fulcrum
As for what they are like, somewhere in between nolathane and vft, not as hard as the former and not as soft as the later, either way I'm stoked!

Glad you are happy with it Ben. I changed my sway bar bushes a few days ago. They make a huge difference by themselves. You'll really be happy when they are done!!

Yeah, the VFT bushes are good, but VERY expensive. I still need to get my rears done. There's some popping noise coming from the back
Where did you get them fitted by the way. The place I got the fronts done were great, but soooooo expensive compared to what you paid. I paid over double that for the front uppers, lowers & steering racks. So PM me if you can please.
