If anyone is going to the trouble of removing their dash, would highly recommend replacing the glass. I did mine over the weekend and it looks awesome - only $40 plus $10 postage from Toyota Genuine, Castle Hill. My old glass was starting to bubble from heat and possibly products like Armorall sprayed on it by the previous owner.

Yes it can be, fortunately mine was simple. When you pull your dash out Leon make sure you clean the reflector mirror, it made so much of a difference when i did mine. I nearly needed sunnies to look at my digital display! Well worth it....

got blinky dash and the blue conversion done. 150 bucks total, top half blue, bottom part (clock etc) still green, is this the norm? or should complete dash be blue?

The colour of the lower part of the dash is determined by the colour of the tube installed. You leave the old one in, you get green. You put in a new blue one ......

The fluro/cathode you have to change is quite a bitch to do. (Watching Shaun fix a dash today actually!). You can get it done, like Phil's, and it looks hot! ;D

I just had a brain wave, blue cathode used in Computer case mods should be perfect. Correct voltage/size and darn easy to get a hold of! Cheap too
I don't see whats so hard about it actually. I've had mine completely in pieces, pulled the fluro out and cleaned it etc. Fiddly, but not in the slightest bit hard!
I don't see it making a huge difference in the colour of the bar as its really only a back light for whats already there. Anyone got a photo of the blue bit down the bottom done?

The part is easy to get hold of Leon, its mainly about getting it the right size to fit in the little cavity. You then have to worry about light pollution in to the other lights and areas if its too bright.
But, it looks hot when its done! ;D

That's thru Shaun right? Is that a recent price? I need the blinky dash done.
