Sure - simply quantify the investment required and full details of how that investment will be returned in terms of increased net profit and within what time frame.

Further, compare the total investment and timeframe to putting the same amount in a term deposit for the same duration of time at no risk and at a fixed interest rate and show how the sponsorship will quadruple that return at minimal risk.

Support your proposal by justifying the investment against the opportunity cost of investing the same amount of money in alternative advertising mediums backed by factual data regarding expected returns of the various options

Finally, detail the "at risk" component that you'll pay back if the sponsorship doesn't return what you predict it will and given all the above I'll consider it.

....alternatively you could just come as part of the club...

Gregg, ill enter, you can sponsor my car and ill adhere to all your requirements.
However, part of the sponsorship deal includes that you fulfil all your requirements yourself!

DOH!

Paul - Yes they have a Dyno and the format this year is back to the "old days" where they have a motokhana style circuit set up as well which you can enter your car in so people can see your ride in action. Both are optional for entrants in addition to the normal show and shine format.

Done.

Depending on cost then, I'm in.

Only really interested in the dyno and motokhana circuit, but I'll jump on a stand with you as well if you're keen for some show and shine.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant believe they're bringing the Motorkhana back *cries I sold the Race Civic*

Is Lennard? organising this one?

Im happy to go in.
Gregg,
All I need is the interior done with those woodgrain items as mentioned last month.
Plus a cost of entering would act as another factor.

OK, I'm still deciding myself... I'll be cutting it fine to have the v8 there as it arrives on the 31st which is really the week before. I need to get it reged etc and that may be an issue.

If there are more local guys going then it'll be worth the effort to put in a showing...

In regards to what you want to do - you have to be in the show and shine regardless. You are allocated a spot indoors which isn't an option. Remember though that the Western Salon has the "Street driven class" and the "Show class" as well as trader and customer. So there are a lot of daily drivers in the main show area....

Anyway you should know this stuff you must have been to more than one of these before Paul!!??...

Yeh Gregg, just saying I'm not really interested in having fancy lighting and carpet rolled out for my car on a stand etc etc.

I know there is a spot allocated inside, but I wont be forking out coin to do a proper stand. We did that at Autosalon with the Antilag stand, $200 gets you nothing these days.

I'd rather buy a diff and weld it shut for the track day haha

I might be up for a bit of dyno and motorkhana action...car wont really be up to show'n'shine scratch though as far as paint and rims go - "scracth" being the operative word. Planning on getting all of that sorted properly in time for MV.

Whats the entry cost?

There aren't any organisers, hence this thread!...

But certainly given the timeframe I think it is actually too late to create a "club" entry. The only benefits is $10 off the entry fee so instead of paying $80 you pay $70 and you need a min of 10 cars!! (oh and a best club award which we wouldn't have a show-in given the other clubs displays).

Far too much work to scramble around for anyone to coordinate and get things organised just for a $10 saving...

So probably just best to register on your own if anyone is thinking of going. It means the cars won't be together but at least Soarers will be represented!...

I'd especially like to see Paul fang his car around on the circuit!!....

Here's the entry form if you want to go in it yourself as a public entry. I think that's what I'll be doing just for the TT...

http://www.westernsalon.com.au/06vehform.pdf

EDIT: STOP PRESS: The Driving events have apparently been cancelled! According to posts on SilviaWA it has been cancelled due to the developers who have bought the Belmont not wanting the car park "ripped up"...!! ...

That's BAD news for the show - the driving events are what made it stand apart from AutoSalon...

That emoticon is all wrong, Paul's car only ever smokes one wheel :-)
Shame to hear about the driving events being canned.
What about all the motorkhana days they have down there?

Yeah, who knows what they are going to do with the other motokhana series...sounds like they will need to find a new venue...

Hmm not good news, I'll still consider entering if they have the Dyno, but Western Salon has been really disorganized in the past few years, I wonder if they've even secured one yet.
